Since 2023, Sam Ashuraey has represented former customers of FTX in sales of bankruptcy claims totaling over $150 million.  Claims have ranged in size from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars, and transactions have spanned multiple jurisdictions in Asia, Europe and North America.  Sam has negotiated claim sales that have included diverse and complex issues, such as:

• Pre-KYC’d and disputed claims;
• Potentially restricted jurisdictions;
• Grants of security interests pending allowance;
• Multi-jurisdictional tax considerations; and
• Potential preference exposure against the seller.

In addition to sales, Sam has advised former FTX customers on a variety of matters related to their claims, including litigation and challenges to obtaining allowance.
